With two eights entered this year (probably on one the biggest CBRC entry for quite a long time) hopes are high for the men this year round.
Good news coming through is that the 1st eight have pre-qualified, which should make their draw slightly easier. The 2nd eight are going to have to go through qualifying, and are racing for 7 places out of 20, so are looking at a tough race on Friday.
Thanks for your vote of confidence Gurt!
ReplyDeleteIt's not supposed to be easy.... It's Henley!
ReplyDeleteReally, Honey?
ReplyDeleteSurely pre-qualifying has no affect on the luck of the draw?
ReplyDeleteI thought you were less likely to be drawn against one of the seeded crews in the 1st round at least?
ReplyDeleteOnly the 'seeds' get the benefit of not getting drawn against a seed!
ReplyDeleteAll the pre-qualifiers and qualifiers from Friday go in the same hat, seeds in a different one. The only advantage is that you can focus on Wednesday and not Friday and Wednesday! Therefore tapering the training a little later!
Also it has been known for conditions to change significantly during the qualifying races... so you dont have to contend with this.
Second 8 are moving well! Will be nice to have 2 crews at HRR!
COME ON BRISTOL!
