Northern Hospitality
While on my annual altitude training trip to the Lake District I was pleased to find that the residents of the North of England are still as friendly and 'keen to please' as always. This was particularly apparent while I was waiting for my train home:
The Family Lush hails originally from a cave in the Forest of Dean. Gurt now resides under a bridge near Welsh Back with his lovely wife, Gurtrude.
A former member of CBRC in the 1980's, Gurt was often found comparing facial hair with Brian Stevens, and drinking rough cider in The Ostrich.
Gurtrude can been seen in photos of late 1970's CBRC womens crews, who were all-conquering on the Tideway.
Cousins Reet & Randy have recently been seen paying close attention to female crews in the Prince Street area.
