clic,clic,clic,clic,clic,clic, clic,clic,clic,clic,clic,clic, clic,clic,clic,clic,clic,clic, clic,clic,clic,clic,clic,clic,

While most of us, especially the women who endured 8 hours of seat racing in the wet and wind, were getting wet on the water, Mr Mumford was hurling himself round a mounting bike in the clic 24 hour race.

The weather, before and during the race did not help -

"Perpetual rain the week before had turned large sections of the course into a quagmire making progress tough during daylight hours and very tricky at night!"

He didn't quite make the full 24 hours, with bike and body falling to bits, but still managed a very respectable 170 miles (third overall in the individual event).

well done mate - you crazy fool!!

If Marcy came in 3rd, what kind of nutters are there in the world who are madder and fitter than him to come in 1st and 2nd? Scary stuff.

What's a 'mounting bike'? Sounds painful.
