The future's bright (ish)

Following yesterday's racing extravanganza, I have been made aware of a small
technical difficulty involving the start marshalls in the second division.
Having waited patiently at the start for 30 minutes in the sub-tropical
temperatures, the crews were getting slightly agitated. The officials were
politely asked about getting things underway by one or two coxes.
The start marshalls jumped into life - one blonde consulted the other, only to
receive a vacant look - better ask Brian!
Romeo Stephens was heard shouting from the nearest bridge "I want to start the
race, but cant get hold of you on your phones!"
One blonde to the other.... "Phones?"
Oh dear!
