It appears that the enthusiasm that the Men's 1st VIII have for making their boat move fast has spilled over into other activities.
The week before last three members of the crew managed to make unplanned adjustments to their car's bodywork using other vehicles, all on the same day. Then on Sunday morning, in their haste to get to the boat club for training, at least half the crew were spotted passing a police speed trap on Cumberland Road travelling somewhat faster than the 30mph limit.
Better save your eagerness to travel quickly for the boat in future chaps!
